Profile of Shenac Rogerson RBSA

Linocut of Shenac Rogerson

Shenac Rogerson (pronounced Shee-na) originally trained as a graphic designer, now spends her time creating art, rather than producing artwork!

Using her own family as inspiration for some of her linocuts, Shenac captures those incidental, intimate everyday moments of life, which so often go unnoticed & unappreciated.

Patterns within both the urban & rural landscape, Shenac simplifies into blocks of colour & line, giving form to the rhythms of place, creating clean, spacious compositions with dynamic statements of colour.

Her series of still life linocuts lie somewhere between abstraction and representation, expressing visually Shenac's exploration of the world around her.

Shenac is a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists RBSA.
